Website Manual

 

1. Send the welcome email to the client from our Freshdesk System

They will usually respond. This helps to establish that they are receiving our email. 

 

2. Setup the user account in our Freshdesk system. 

Add the Name, email, company, telephone number, and profile picture.

3. Keep ONE ticket open for each client and close all other tickets without sending a notification to the client. To do this, select the ticket and SHIFT + Close.

  

Make all updates to that one open ticket.

When responding to that ticket, use the option to

Send and set as resolved, or  Send and set as Waiting on Customer.

Close all other tickets. 

4. Whenever communicating with the client, please paste the link to the website in the ticket. 

5. Start Designing using the following order. (Please reference document below for details)

From the Top to the Bottom, Left to Right. The Logo, Colors, Fonts, Header, Background, Title, Page Content using Strips, Footer.

6. Please check the website on the mobile view before submitting a response to the client.

7. Going Live. Read Going Live Section Below. 

 

8. Go Premium. Read Go Premium Section Below. 

9. Setup Favicon. Read Setup Favicon Section Below. 

10. Submit to Search Engines. Read Submit to search engines Section Below. 


 

Start Designing

Make a copy of the template that closely matches what the client wants.​

Logo

Remove background from logos

Create three Logo Sizes 500px, 300px 200px

Use WIX Photo Studio to remove the background

 
Colors

Use logo colors as the primary colors for the site (Unless the client specifies other)

Change color picker colors to the following.

  1. Column One - should be BLACK

  2. Column Two - should be the color that the client desires.

  3. Column Three, four and five - should be colors from the color wheel below.

Use the color wheel link below.

  1. Select your base color

  2. Select Triad

Fonts

 

Fonts should be one or two types at most
Fonts should match the Logo font type or the style or feel the client is trying to convey.
Font color should have the logo colors, or colors that complements the feel of the site.

1. Setup Themes for Text -  H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, Paragraph 1, 2 and 3
2. Try to use one type of font. 


Only use two if it is absolutely necessary.

 
Images

Images should be compressed to the smallest size possible without compromising the quality. 

Here are some online compression tools.

Anatomy of a Page

Header

 


Contains 

  1. Logo, 

  2. Menu. 

  3. Organization Name and slogan.

  4. Sometimes can also contain telephone number, contact information, and or social media.

  5. The header persists throughout the website experience. It is visible throughout the site on every page.

 
Background


The page background can be a video, image or a shade of black   2F2E2E. 

 
Title


Each page should have a title to indicate clearly what the page is about.

 
Strips


Try to use strips for various sections of the page.
Alternate strips color to create contrast. e.g light color to dark.

 

 
Footer


Contains 


Logo, 
Organization Name and slogan.
Also contain telephone number, email, contact information, social media, maps, booking information.

 

The footer persists throughout the website experience. It is visible throughout the site on every page.

 

SEO & SOCIAL

 
Add Header Code Meta Tags for Page's title on search results 
Example

Add a description

The description of the page should include the name of the following.

Example 
Name of Company | Local neighborhood | City State
Vision, Mission, About US.
e.g. 
Kingdom  Empowerment Tabernacle is a Church located in Far Rockaway, Queens, New York. We are a ministry that values the growth and development of families through the teaching of God's word. 

Page URL

Enter the page URL. This is the page's unique address on the web. You can add up to 35 characters.

Page's keywords

Enter page keywords separated with commas. Google does not use these keywords, but other search engines may.

Social Share Settings
  • Click the Upload icon and choose an image. Use Company Logo 300dpi PNG format

BLOGS - WIX APP

1. Setup Blog on Separate page
2. Send Invite the blogger to contribute to their site.

Goto Roles and Permissions and ADD the Contributor email address.

3. Choose the Role 

Permission: Editor. Can fully manage the blog but not other areas of your site.

4. Send email to let user know that the blog is setup.

CHAT - WIX APP

1. Add Chat to site
2. Send Invite the user to contribute to their site.

Goto Roles and Permissions and ADD the Contributor email address.

3. Choose the Role 

       Admin: Has full access to the site but cannot edit the payment info, delete or duplicate the site.
Can Publish Site

4. Send email to let user know that the chat is setup.

CALENDAR

1. Set up a page for Events

2. Send the email to the client requesting Google email and password.

      

3. Go To Apps

Add Google Event Calendar​ and connect using the clients credential

4. Send email to client to test.
